In a shocking incident at Guwahati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH), a newborn baby was delivered with a broken hand, allegedly due to medical negligence. The baby’s father, Mangal Pathak, has accused the doctors of careless handling during the delivery, which he claims resulted in the baby suffering fractures in three places on one hand.
Pathak had admitted his wife to GMCH on Sunday for delivery. Initially, the doctors informed the family that it would be a normal delivery. However, the procedure was later changed to a cesarean section. After the birth, the family was devastated to learn that the newborn’s hand was fractured in three places.
The baby is currently in the ICU under observation. Pathak has expressed anger and frustration, blaming the medical staff for their alleged negligence, which he believes caused his baby’s injury. The family is now seeking accountability for the incident.
