Mastermind of the DB Stock online trading scam, Deepankar Barman, remains elusive while his parents and a chartered accountant, Mukesh Agarwala, have been arrested and are being questioned by Guwahati

Even as fraudster son Deepankar Barman, kingpin of the DB Stock scam continues to be on the run for over a month now, Police today arrested his parents and his Chartered Account in Guwahati.

The mastermind behind the multi-crore DB Stock online trading scam, Deepankar Barman, has successfully managed to evade arrest since the multi-crore scam came to light last month.

Deepankar’s parents and his CA identified as Mukesh Agarwala were being questioned at Panbazar Police Station as authorities intensify efforts to track down Deepankar, who is accused of defrauding people of thousands of crores of rupees.

A video recently circulated on social media, showing Deepankar counting stacks of cash, further fueling public outrage. His last known location was traced to Guwahati on August 19, but his phone has since been switched off. Authorities believe Deepankar has not yet used his passport, leading them to suspect he is still hiding within the country.
