A 620 MW solar energy plant to be set up in Assam and the Kumchai-Kusijannatural gas pipeline between Aurnachal and Assam. Addressing the media in New Delhi today, Chairman and Managing Director of Oil India Limited, Dr Ranjit Rath said the public sector exploration and production company is committed and is on track to set up the 620 MW solar plant in Assam, Project execution for 25 MW has begun. Six to 7 locations have been identified and 2 more detailed project report (DPRs) are underway. The project is a joint venture between Oil India Limited and the Assam government.
