According to Fortune India, Shah Rukh Khan paid Rs 92 crore in taxes for FY24.
Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan has emerged as the leading taxpayer among celebrities in India for the financial year 2024. He is followed by Thalapathy Vijay, who has outpaced other prominent figures such as Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Indian cricketer Virat Kohli.
According to Fortune India, Shah Rukh Khan’s tax contribution for FY24 stands at an impressive Rs 92 crore. Thalapathy Vijay paid Rs 80 crore, while Salman Khan’s tax amounted to Rs 75 crore. Amitabh Bachchan is fourth with Rs 71 crore, and Virat Kohli is fifth with Rs 66 crore.

An India Today report mentioned the additional celebrities in the top 20 which includes Kapil Sharma (Rs 26 crore), Sourav Ganguly (Rs 23 crore), Kareena Kapoor (Rs 20 crore), Shahid Kapoor (Rs 14 crore), Hardik Pandya (Rs 13 crore), and Kiara Advani (Rs 12 crore). Mohanlal and Allu Arjun each paid Rs 14 crore, while Pankaj Tripathi and Katrina Kaif contributed Rs 11 crore each.
India Today reports that Shah Rukh Khan had a stellar year in 2023 with three major releases: ‘Pathaan’, ‘Jawan’, and ‘Dunki’. ‘Jawan’ earned Rs 643.87 crore domestically, ‘Pathaan’ brought in Rs 543.05 crore, and ‘Dunki’ accumulated Rs 212.42 crore.
Thalapathy Vijay also enjoyed a successful year, with his film ‘GOAT’ creating a significant stir at the box office, and ‘Leo’ also proving to be a major hit in 2023.
According to a report by Hindustan Times, Salman Khan will next be featured in AR Murugadoss’s ‘Sikandar’, set to release next Eid, with Rashmika Mandanna also starring in the film.
