Married Just 6 Months Ago, Assam Forest Guard Dragged By Royal Bengal Tiger, Killed

The deceased, identified as Dhanmani Deka, was guarding his post when the tiger attacked, dragging him into the nearby forest.
In a spine-chilling and horrific incident, a forest home guard was killed by a Royal Bengal Tiger while on duty at the Orang National Park in Assam’s Darrang district.
The deceased, identified as Dhanmani Deka, was guarding his post when the tiger attacked him, dragging him into the nearby forest along with his rifle and killing him.
It took the Park authorities several hours to trace Deka’s body. His headless body was recovered around 50 meters from his original post.
Deka, who was married just six months ago, is survived by his wife.
His death has created a sensation in the area and has sparked discussions on the need for enhanced safety measures for forest guards working in areas with wildlife populations, particularly in sanctuaries which are home to big cats.
