In a spine-chilling and horrific incident, a forest home guard was killed by a Royal Bengal Tiger while on duty at the Orang National Park in Assam’s Darrang district.

The deceased, identified as Dhanmani Deka, was guarding his post when the tiger attacked him, dragging him into the nearby forest along with his rifle and killing him.

It took the Park authorities several hours to trace Deka’s body. His headless body was recovered around 50 meters from his original post.
