A major bridge of KurungKumey district of Arunachal Pradesh, which was washed away due to the heavy impact of floods on June 30, was re-opened today bringing relief to the people of the district. The bridge is strategically important for the movement of troops and other para military forces towards the Line of Actual Control. Multiple agencies like the NHIDCL, RWD, BRO, DDMO were involved in the restoration work and despite facing several challenges like inclement weather, the construction was completed in a record 58 days time.
