A latest report by the news portal Cobrapost has brought some shocking details into fore.
The report claims that former Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and former Assam minister Bhumidhar Barman had furnished false information to the election commission.
As per the report, Gogoi had given false PAN details to the Election Commission of India (ECI).
In the report by Cobrapost, there are six former Assam ministers and ten current Assam ministers in the list of politicians who have furnished false information to the election commission.
In fact, the report claims that Gogoi had furnished two different PAN numbers while filing nominations in 2006 and 2011.
The Cobrapost report puts a total of 194 politicians across the country who furnished wrong information to the election commission.
All of them had given false PAN numbers to the election commission.
