History scripted in Hill State, first flight lands in Sikkim’s Pakyong airport

The picturesquely aesthetic hill state of Sikkim scripted history today as the first flight from Kolkata landed at around 1:24 PM in the Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Pakyong airport.

The Spice Jet Flight number SG 3341 took one hour ten minutes to land in the Sikkim’s Pakyong airport.

Earlier, PM Narendra Modi while inaugurating Sikkim’s Pakyong airport on September 24 had said that it was six decades back when a small plane had flown from Sikkim with the PM adding that the hill state had to wait for six decades for the airport.
