Tripura Stands With Wayanad Landslide Victims, Donate Generously

From businessmen to man on the street, all came together to donate generously for Wayanad landslide victims

In a significant display of solidarity, people of Tripura came together and donated generously for the thousands of landslide victims of Wayanad, Kerala.

Former Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, former Minister Manik Dey and ex-MP Sankar Prasad Datta, all CPIM leaders of the state, led a donation collection drive in Agartala to raise funds for the victims of Wayanad.

From businessmen to people on the street, everyone donated to help the devastated people of Wayanad.

The funds raised during the drive will be directed towards providing essential relief and rehabilitation for those displaced by the disaster. This initiative highlights the commitment to social responsibility and community support beyond state boundaries.

As the rescue operations in Wayanad continue, the contributions from Tripura’s residents serve as a reminder of the collective effort required to overcome such calamities.

The landslides which occurred four days ago, has claimed over 300 lives and left thousands injured and homeless. Hundreds of houses have been destroyed, and several villages remain affected as rescue operations continue.

The scale of destruction has prompted a nationwide appeal for aid, with Kerala’s Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan urging citizens to contribute to the relief efforts.
