DM University Buckles Under Students’ Pressure, Appoints Registrar, Controller of Exams

The students of the Dhanamanjuri University in Imphal had sat on an indefinite hunger strike demanding appointment of Registrar, Controller of Exams and other administrative staff
Buckling under pressure from students of the Dhanamanjuri University, the authorities today announced the names of those who would be appointed as the University Registrar and Controller of Exams (CoE). The University was functioning without proper Registrar and CoE for a very long time.
The students who sat on hunger strike on July 9 called off their strike today after nine days following the announcement of the names.
The Syndicate of the University convened an Emergency Meeting today and took the decision to declare the names of all the staff members including teaching and non-teaching staff who had gone through the recruitment process since 2021.
Besides declaring the names of the Registrar and Controller of Exams, the University also declared the results for direct recruitment for the office of Deputy Registrar, Deputy Controller of Examinations, and Deputy Finance Officer. Moreover, names of other Non-teaching and teaching staff have also been announced.
The university has also instructed the selected candidates to collect the Offer Form for appointment between July 22 to July 31.
