Human remains found in Tathangchen reportedly belong to 31-year-old man

The Sikkim police identified the deceased as Sonam Tshering Bhutia (31).
The skeleton remains, which were found on June 13th in a jungle in the Tathangchen area in Gangtok, reportedly belong to a young man, who has been missing since April 2.

During the course of investigation, police found a black wallet, containing some ID cards belonging to Sonam Tshering Bhutia, a resident of Shotak, Gangtok district, near the scene, where body was found.
Later, it was revealed during a preliminary investigation that on April 2, brother of deceased person, Sonam Pintso Bhutia had filed a missing report of Sonam.
As per reports, the deceased was a site supervisor of Roads & Bridges department.
Bhutia’s friends and relatives suspect that he was murdered as the skeleton was wrapped in a rug.
