Former Tripura CM Biplab Kumar Deb attributes his success in LS polls to Modi

Biplab Kumar Deb won the Tripura West seat defeating Ashish Kumar Saha of the Congress by a massive margin of 6,11,578 votes.
After his historic victory in the Lok Sabha elections with the highest ever winning margin in Tripura, former Chief Minister, Rajya Sabha MP, and Lok Sabha Parliamentarian-elect Biplab Kumar Deb attributed his success to Prime Minister-elect Narendra Modi.
Deb highlighted three pivotal factors contributing to his success.
Firstly he credited the “Modi guarantee,” emphasizing the power and endorsement of Narendra Modi’s leadership.
Secondly, he acknowledged the strong public trust in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), reflecting widespread voter confidence in the party’s vision and policies.
Lastly, he pointed to the aspirations tied to his previous tenure as Chief Minister of Tripura, suggesting that his past governance played a crucial role in winning voter support.
Deb stated that his focus as a Lok Sabha Parliamentarian will be on creating fast employment opportunities for the youth and, welfare of the people among other sectors.
Speaking to reporters, Deb said, people of Tripura believed in his work as Chief Minister and had high hopes.
He acknowledged the challenges, noting that some necessary facilities are not physically available in Tripura, but highlighted the potential of medical tourism by capturing the Bangladesh patients visiting India for health purposes and spiritual tourism as significant growth areas.
Regarding the BJP and National Democratic Alliance (NDA)’s performance in the elections, Biplab Kumar Deb said that the lack of a full majority might affect the government’s fast decision-making process due to the need to consider coalition partners’ views.
He said that the election results were a greater loss for the people of India than for Modi, who had dedicated himself to the nation.
Biplab Kumar Deb won the Tripura West seat defeating Ashish Kumar Saha of the Congress by a massive margin of 6,11,578 votes.
Biplab Kumar Deb polled 8,81,341 votes and Ashish Kumar Saha received 2,69,763 votes.
