There are two seats and a total of 10 candidates are in the fray.

  1. Inner Manipur seat: 6 candidates 

 Key candidates:  

  1. TH BASANTA KR SINGH, BJP 
  • MANIPUR LAW & EDUCATION MINISTER  
  • NAMBOL MLA  
  • SON OF FMR UNION MINISTER TH CHAOBA SINGH 
  1. PROF BIMOL AKOIJAM, INC 
  • PROFESSOR AT JNU, DELHI 
  1. R K SOMENDRO (KAIKU), MPP 
  • ACTOR, SOCIAL ACTIVIST-TURNED-POLITICIAN 

In 2019, BJP’s RK Ranjan Singh won the Inner Manipur seat with 2,63,632 and a vote share of 34.72% 

VOTER TURNOUT 

2024: 80.15% 

2019: 81.26% 

2. Outer Manipur seat – 4 candidates  

Key candidates: 

1.K Timothy Zimik, NPF

  • Retired IRS officer
  • Served as Principal Chief Commissioner of  LT, Finance Ministry (Revenue)
  • BJP is supporting Zimik

2.Alfred K Arthur, INC

  • Fmr Ukhrul MLA (2017-22)
  • The other 2 candidates are Alyson Abonmei and S. Kho John contesting as Independents
  • In 2019, NPF’s Lorho S Pfoze won the seat with 3,63,527 votes and a vote share of 42.37%.

VOTER TURNOUT 

2024: 85.11% 

2019: 84.29%
