Uma Chetry has become the first player from Assam to be called up to an India squad.
It is indeed a milestone achieved for Assam cricketer Uma Chetry as she has received her much aspired maiden call-up to represent the national Women’s cricket team. Chetry, the first Assamese woman to be included in the national team, will be part of the side led by Smriti Mandhana in the multi-format series against South Africa.
