The Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) has announced the Manipur High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) for 2024 today.

In a significant achievement, 93.03 percent of students made the cut in the HSLC examination braving all odds in the strife-torn state. This pass percentage is the highest in last 10 years.

For the first time, the conventional marks-based evaluation was not used as the board has decided not to employ division or ranking system as it has been done in the past. The marksheets will only carry grades.

Of the total 37,715 students, 19,087 boys and 18,628 girls appeared for the examinations held from March 15 to April 3, 2024.

Tengnoupal district has emerged as the top-performing district with a pass percentage of 99.65%.

Thoubal district secured the second-highest position with a pass percentage of 99.04%.

Kakching secured the third-highest position with a pass percentage of 97.58%.

Jiribam district has the lowest pass percentage at 50.74 percent.
