After your channel Northeast Live highlighted the plight of the auto drivers and the public commuting on the Upper Bagetar Road in Haflong, the Public Works Department has started repair work on the Upper Bagetar Road stretch in full swing. The road connecting New Kunjung, Moulpong, Upper Bagetar, Lodi and Zion without other alternative routes was in dilapidated condition for a long time. Despite people approaching the concerned department, no action was taken. Failing to grab the attention of the government and the concerned department, the auto-drivers were forced to repair the road from their own money. However, your channel Northeast Live has been successful in drawing the attention of the PWD, following which the NCHAC CEM Debolal Gorlosa instructed the PWD officials to act immediately. The residents of Bagetar have expressed their satisfaction with the repair work.
