Acting on specific inputs, the west Agartala police arrested an alleged Bangladeshi army personnel on Wednesday night from the Joynagar area of Tripura.

The Bangladeshi personnel has been identified as Md. Ajam Khan who hails from Pathanpara of Chittagong in Bangladesh.

During interrogation, he revealed that he made Indian ratio card, Pan card and Aadhar card showing fake documents and in those documents his name is written as Raju choudhury and his father name as Akram Ali.

Meanwhile, as per sources his Bangladeshi I-card is also been recovered and many important contacts were found in his mobile phone which was seized by the Agartala police.

He also admitted that he joined the Bangladesh army back in 2013 and worked as a carpenter at the Tripura Chief Minister’s residence, Deputy Chief Minister’s residence and Tripura police academy for many years.

Investigation is underway and the police are not revealing much. But so far evidences point to the fact that the arrested might be working as a spy in India.
