Assam Lok Sabha Elections 2024: BPF candidate for Kokrajhar Kampa Borgoyary files his nomination

The Bodoland people’s front (BPF) organised a massive public rally from Kampa Borgoyary’s residence to Kokrajhar DC office before filling the nomination papers.
BPF candidate for No.1 Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituency Kampa Borgoyary filed his nomination at Kokrajhar DC office on Friday.
Kampa Borgoyary was accompanied by BPF chief Hagrama Mohilary, former Assam Cabinet Minister Pramila Rani Brahma, West Kokrajhar MLA Robiram Narzary and severalother BPF leaders.

While speaking to Northeast Live, Borgoyary exuded confidence of a massive win and said,“ The entire BTC is in support of BPF. All communities irrespective of their religion, caste creed and area, they are going to support BPF and our winning is 100% sure”.
While asking about BJP national president J P Nadda’s recent campaign in Kokrajhar in support of NDA candidate Jayanta Basumatary, he answered that J P Nadda’s campaign will not affect BPF party because the political situation of BTR is totally different from other parts of the country.
While addressing the media, BPF chief Hagrama Mohilary said that the win of his party, BPF is certain in Kokrajhar parliamentary constituency and extended his gratitude for the love and support that the people of Kokrajhar have given to BPF. He also exuded confidence that in the Darrang-Udalguri seat, BPF candidate Durga Das Boro is sure to win. He further stated that his party will continue to work for the development of Kokrajhar.
Further stating on Naba Kumar Sarania’s filing of nomination, the BPF chief said, “It depends upon the authorities if the nomination will be accepted or cancelled, as far as I know the nomination of Naba Kumar Sarania will be cancelled during scrutiny”.
It is to be mentioned that Kokrajhar will be going for polls in the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections scheduled to take place on May 7 along with Guwahati, Barpeta, Dhubri. The second phase of polls will be held on April 26 which will cover five parliamentary constituencies of Assam. Results will be announced on June 4.
