Lok Sabha Polls-Tripura: Solution of every problem of tribals can be found in Tiprasa Accord, Amit Shah reassures

Home Minister Amit Shah said, "I want to tell you that the Government of India's another core priority is the welfare of the tribal areas."
Union Home Minister Amit Shah today said that solutions for alleviating the sufferings of the indigenous tribal population of Tripura have been fully incorporated in the historic tripartite Tiprasa Accord signed on March 2. The Union Home Minister believes that the Agreement will address all the issues of the Tiprasas and that people should also repose their faith in the Agreement.
Addressing a mega rally in support of BJP candidates for Tripura East and Tripura West Lok Sabha constituencies at Kumarghat, Home Minister Amit Shah said, “I want to tell you that the Government of India’s another core priority is the welfare of the tribal areas.
We have signed an agreement recently, between the GoI, Tripura Government and Raja Sahab (Pradayot Kishore Debbarma), TIPRA Motha. A lot of things are being said about the agreement but I want to tell everyone (tribal population) today that all solutions to your problems are there in the Agreement, you can trust me.
Focus has been given to maintaining peace between every community and tribe, so that there is development and Tripura makes rapid strides. This has been given special emphasis in the Agreement.
Your Raja (Pradyot) has looked into the fact that there is a solution to every problem of the indigenous tribal population and PM Modi has given his blessings for this.”
Besides, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also accused the Congress the Left of deliberately ignoring Tripura King Bikram Kishore Manikya Debbarma and his principles, despite the fact that both parties ruled for years in the state.
Addressing a mega rally in support of BJP candidates for Tripura East and Tripura West Lok Sabha constituencies at Kumarghat, Home Minister Amit Shah said, “In 2017 I had come here (Kumarghat) and attended a rally for Tripura Mukti and this where the mission began to make Tripura free from the Communists. People have decided to move on the path of development under PM Modi by ending decades of Communist rule.
For years, the Communists have done except forget Mahraja Vir Bikram Manikya Kishore, but PM Modi dedicated the Tripura airport to him and also established his statue so that he is remembered life long.”
Stating that the welfare of the tribals is one of PM Modi’s top agenda, Shah said, “PM Modi decided to increase the honour of the tribals by deciding to give them Padma Awards for their contribution to the society.
For the honour, safeguard and inclusive growth of the Adivasis, PM Modi has decided to take them on board.
But the Congress and the Communists ruled for years, but could not make any Adivasi, the President of India. It was only PM Modi who decided to honour the Adivasis by making Droupadi Murmu, the President of India.
Crores of rupees are being spent to set up museums in recognition for the contribution of our Adivasi ancestors who made immense contributions in building the nation. I want to tell you that Maharaja’s statue will also be featured in the museums.”
Launching a scathing attack on the Congress and the Left for ignoring the welfare of the state, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, “There was only one highway in Tripura during 30 years of Communist rule, but under PM Modi’s tenure it has increased to 9. A Central Sanskrit University is coming up at Bamutia, and an international cricket stadium is coming up at Narsinghgarh (West Tripura) where IPL and other national matches will also be hosted in the future. In Sabroom at the cost of Rs 1550 crore a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) is coming up at Jalefa where industries will be set up, and employment will increase. Works have also started to build a Unity Mall in Tripura at the cost of Rs 140 crore.
Wherever there were Communists, what did they leave behind? Poverty, famine, unavailability of health services, no education, and forcing youths to take up arms are what Communists did. But PM Modi has decided to replace the guns with laptops for the youths. BJP and PM Modi have signed more than 10 Accords in the Northeast and took away guns from more than 10000 youths.
The Brus and Reangs and their families, almost 40000 people were living under serious hardships, but the Narendra Modi government created model villages for them and thus enlightened their lives. This is what the BJP government has done.
I want to ask the Congress and Communist leaders in Tripura, you ruled for years, and the Sonia-Manmohan government existed for 10 years, but what did you give Tripura? In 10 years you could only give Rs 40, 183 crore but PM Modi has increased to more than Rs 98,000 crore.”
