Atleast 10 houses and 3 business establishments were gutted in a devastating fire that broke out near the Assam Police headquarters in Guwahati’s Ulubari this afternoon.

The exact reason as to what sparked off the fire is yet to be ascertained. The explosion of few LPG cylinder’s further intensified the fire. 8 fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the inferno.

No casualty or injuries as a result of the fire has been reported. However, property worth several lakhs has been reduced to ash as a result of the fire.
