In an open challenge, CM PS Tamang has dared SDF Chamling to move the Court and prove the latter's allegations on false Job order distribution by the SKM government.
Barely a month to the Assembly elections in Sikkim, CM PS Tamang has made a big statement and said that he is ready to quit politics.
CM Tamang said this in response to a query by Northeast Live on whether allegations levelled by former 5-time former Chief Minister Pawan Chamling on false Job order distribution by the SKM government.
In an open challenge, CM PS Tamang has dared SDF Chamling to prove this in the Court.
Speaking exclusively to Northeast Live, CM PS Tamang said, “The SDF president is a prominent person, he had ruled Sikkim as the Chief Minister for 25 years. If he feels that there is something wrong he can go to the Court and prove that it is fake. He is doing so because of political propaganda. We (SKM government) issued orders to the concerned departments and after that they (aspirants) joined the posts, than how can somesone say that it is fake? This is his (Pawan Chamling’s) propaganda. We will never do such fake activities. They (SKM Government) had done it during their times. I openly challenge the president of the SDF party (Pawan Kumar Chamling) that he goes to the court and prove the allegations. Once it is proved in the Court, I am ready to quit the Chief Minister’s post.”
Asked as to what will be the SKM’s main agenda to reach out to the voters, Sikkim CM PS Tamang said, “Our main issue will be development, because in the last 5 years we have worked for this despite many challenges, Whatever was thought to be impossible, we (SKM) made it possible. We will go ahead with the agenda of development.”
On February 25, the Sikkim Chief Minister had announced an ambitious initiative aimed at transforming the lives of thousands of youths from underprivileged backgrounds.
Making his intentions clear, the Sikkim CM had spoken about his government’s decision to confer government job appointment letters to over 15,000 deserving individuals hailing from economically disadvantaged families.
Highlighting the significance of this initiative, Chief Minister Tamang had reportedly stated that each youth selected would secure a government position, effectively commencing from February 29, 2024, onwards.
