Houses damaged, crops destroyed in Manipur, Assam due to hailstorm

Many houses and vegetation have reportedly been destroyed in Manipur's Senapati district
Heavy rain and hailstorms lashed parts of the Northeastern region yesterday, leaving a trail of extensive destruction in parts of Assam and Manipur.
Locals and several farmers have suffered huge losses as their houses were destroyed and crops were damaged due to incessant rain and hailstorms.
Many houses and vegetation have reportedly been destroyed in Manipur’s Senapati district.
Heavy hailstorms affected many areas in the Mao area, particularly in the Song Song Sub-division and along the Imphal-Dimapur national highway (NH-2), causing damage to houses and vegetable crops.
Rains, accompanied by hailstorms and strong winds, also caused widespread damage to houses and crops in fields spread across several metres in villages of Wajao, Kaothaibari, Khepre, Koladisa along with Dimakro in Assam’s Dima Hasao district.
