Lok Sabha Election-Tripura: NDA partners hold first strategic meeting

Tripura BJP president Rajib Bhattacharje underscored the significance of the gathering, emphasizing the need for seamless coordination among the three parties at the grassroots level upto to the Mandal.
In a bid to strengthen their alliance and set strategize for the upcoming elections, NDA partners in Tripura consisting of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Indigenous Peoples Front of Tripura (IPFT), and their recent partner TIPRA Motha convened for the first coordination meeting in Tripura.
The meeting saw the participation of top leaders all three parties beside ministers, ruling party MLAs, and BJP candidates for both parliamentary constituencies.
State BJP president Rajib Bhattacharje underscored the significance of the gathering, emphasizing the need for seamless coordination among the three parties at the grassroots level upto to the Mandal. He added that the the meeting aimed to discuss election strategies geared towards securing victories in both parliamentary seats – East Tripura and West Tripura.
Former Opposition Leader Animesh Debbarma, now representing TIPRA Motha as a Minister, and former Minister and IPFT president Prem Kumar Reang were among the notable attendees who along with the BJP state president addressed a press conference after the meeting along with Bhattacharjee.
The BJP state president acknowledged the expansion of the government to include TIPRA Motha, emphasizing the collective commitment to support Narendra Modi’s leadership and ensure his re-election as Prime Minister by blooming the lotus in both constituencies.
The meeting, which extended for over two hours, witnessed the presence of Chief Minister Manik Saha, TIPRA Motha founder Pradyot Kishore Debbarma, former MLA and Motha president Bijoy Kumar Hwrhankal, and other key leaders from all three parties.
Their discussions focused on fostering collaboration across all levels of the political landscape to strengthen the BJP-led coalition’s electoral prospects.
Notable figures such as BJP candidate for the East Tripura constituency Kriti Singh Debbarma, former Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha member Biplab Kumar Deb, who is contesting for the West Tripura parliamentary constituency, were also actively engaged in the deliberations.
The coordination meeting not only reaffirmed the unity within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Tripura but also signaled their readiness to face the electoral challenges ahead, with a shared vision of advancing the interests of the state and supporting the national leadership.
