IPL 2024: Two matches to be held in Guwahati

Sources informed, Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals will face Rajasthan Royals, playing as the home team.

In an exciting development for cricket enthusiasts in Guwahati, two matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be held at the Barsapara Stadium for the second year in a row. The dates are yet to be announced but it has been reported that the matches are slated to be held in May.

Sources informed, Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals will face Rajasthan Royals, playing as the home team. 

Ranjit Barhakur , the Executive Chairman of Royal Multisport Pvt. Ltd., the company that owns the Indian Premier League team, Rajasthan Royals has confirmed about the development.

Earlier in 2023, Guwahati hosted its maiden IPL match  at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium witjh  two matches of Rajasthan Royals, one with Punjab Kings and the other with Delhi Capitals.

The IPL kicked off in Chennai on Friday (March 22) with the first match between Chennai Super Kings and Bangalore Royal Challengers where Chennai wins by six wickets.
