CM Mamata Banerjee suffered a major injury on her forehead after a fall at her residence yesterday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has wished West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee a speedy recovery after she sustained a major injury on her forhead after a fall at her south Kolkata’s Kalighat residence yesterday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to X and wrote, “I pray for a quick recovery and the best health for Mamata Didi.”

Following the injury, she was rushed to a hospital in Kolkata

The party shared a series of pictures of Mamata Banerjee on X late yesterday night, in which she can be seen lying on a hospital bed with a deep cut in the middle of her forehead, TMC wrote, “Our chairperson @MamataOfficial sustained a major injury. Please keep her in your prayers.”

Several other leaders including party leaders, leaders of opposition parties, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal have also prayed for Banerjee’s speedy recovery.

“Wishing her a speedy recovery. She was seriously injured after falling accidentally at her home,” party leader Kunal Ghosh posted on X.

State party president Sukanta Majumdar took to X and wrote, “Wishing CM @MamataOfficial a speedy recovery. Our prayers are with her for a quick return to good health.”

Congress state President Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said, “Wishing a speedy recovery of the Chief Minister, West Bengal”.

“Shocked to see this. Pray for ur speedy recovery Didi. God bless u,
” posted Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on X.
