He added that to fix this the state government has already built 7 amusement parks in various parts of the state.

Manipur Chief Minister N.Biren Singh inaugurated the first amusement water park in Imphal East District today.

The water park was constructed at Awang Potshangbam under the Heingang Assembly constituency.

Speaking to the media, the Chief Minister bemoaned the fact that previously the people of Manipur did not have any place for rest and recreation and therefore had to move out of the state during holidays for recreation.

“In line with the government’s plan to create a space for individuals and families to spend their valuable time with recreational and fun-filled activities, the first water park has been constructed,” Chief Minister Biren Singh said.

He added that to fix this the state government has already built 7 amusement parks in various parts of the state.

Manipur had endured so many difficulties and challenges in many phases. However, it prevailed with a peaceful environment where many developmental projects were taken up successfully. Yet again Manipur is going through tough days, CM Biren said.

Nevertheless, the struggle will surely end one day as the government is putting all means to restore everlasting peace and stability, he added.
