Assam: Son kills father with iron rod in Chandrapur

A man bludgeoned his step-father to death with iron rod over a family dispute in Assam’s Kamrup district on Monday morning.

As per inputs, a heated scuffle broke out between the father and his son over an issue following which the notorious son brutally attacked by his father with iron rod.

The deceased has been identified as Daya Bhatta, while the accused identified as Prantus Das.

Following the incident, police responded to the scene and apprehended accused Prantus Das.

Last month, an individual confessed to killing his son and wife in front of police after the dead bodies of the two victims were discovered in their residence in Nalbari district of Assam.

The accused identified as Jagadish Haloi,who was fled after committing the crime. He was nabbed in Alipurduar, West Bengal, and taken into custody where he confessed to killing the two persons.
