The PAJSC informed that it's vice-chairman Tadak Nalo has been arrested by the police along with 2 other members

In a significant development, the Pan Arunachal Joint Steering Committee (PAJSC) has claimed that 3 of its top leaders have been arrested by the Arunachal Pradesh police.

The pressure group which has been batting for reforms in the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) post the paper leak fiasco, shared this information through social media.
According to the PAJSC, those arrested include-

  • Tadak Nalo, Vice Chairman, PAJSC
  • Marge Kamnyi, Member, PAJSC
  • Techi Rana, Member, PAJSC

Reacting to this, the PAJSC said that it is a tactic to make sure that the voices of those who are seeking welfare of the state is not heard.

In the post, the PAJSC said, “This is a Grim Reminder to all the general public and the aspirants that the Government couldn’t resolve the long pending issue of APPSC cash for job scam, however they have once again pulled off it’s silly tactics to suppress the voice of the change seekers of the State. Now the decision is everyone’s to make. We Feel Insecure of Our Future.”

The PAJSC has appealed everyone to maintain peace and mentioned that it does not endorse any kind of violence.

“Team PAJSC-APPSC dosen’t endorse violence in any way with regards to the issue. Let’s maintain tranquility and peace,” the PAJSC wrote in it’s post.

It may be mentioned here that the PAJSC has been protesting against the government actions since Sunday. The PAJSC had protested by cutting cakes to vent their anger against the 60 MLAs as well as both the MPs for their alleged failure in resolving their issues.

A year has passed by since the PAJSC was assured by Chief Minister Pema Khandu that the government would resolve the APPSC paper leak issue on the basis of the pressure group’s 13-point charter of demands.

However, the PAJSC feels that the government has not done enough to resolve the matter. Irked over the alleged delay by the government in finding a solution to it’s 13-point charter of demands, the PAJSC observed February 18 as Black Day as a mark of protest.
