The West Jaintia Hills police in Meghalaya have arrested the self-styled chairman and information secretary of a Manipur based insurgent group called the Zeliangrong United Front.
The arrested persons have been identified as 66-year-old Raitu Chawang, the chairman and 43-year-old Gengchung Pou Namthuyang, the information secretary.
The duo was arrested from a Guwahati bound night bus coming from Silchar in West Jaintia Hills. The arrested persons have been remanded to judicial custody.
