Meghalaya cop dies in road accident in Gurgaon

Sinha was on an official visit to Delhi and was traveling with his friend, identified as Digvijay Singh at the time of the incident.

In a tragic accident, Meghalaya cop, identified as Amit Sinha of Ri-Bhoi District Executive Force (DEF) died in a road accident in Gurgaon.

The accident took place in the wee hours of Saturday.

As per inputs, Sinha was on an official visit to Delhi and was traveling with his friend, identified as Digvijay Singh at the time of the incident.

As per Singh’s FIR, they had gone to eat food in Sector 58, Gurgaon, and while returning in their vehicle driven by Singh, an unknown vehicle hit them from behind, causing the accident.

Amit Sinha was declared dead by the medical officer at Sanar International Hospital in Gurgaon, while Digvijay sustained multiple injuries and is currently admitted at the hospital.

Further investigation is underway.
