All govt temporary employees who complete 4 years to be regularised: Sikkim CM

Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on Sunday announced the regularisation of all temporary government employees who complete four years of service by December 31, 2023.

Speaking on the occasion, CM said that all temporary employees those who have completed 4 years of service, irrespective of their government department, will receive regularisation orders on February 9.
CM also announced the beneficiaries under Aama Yojana would be doubled to 64,000 beneficiaries. Each beneficiary under Aama Yojana will be getting an annual financial support of Rs. 40,000.
Tamang said, “The state government will give cheques of Rs 40,000 each to 32,000 non-working mothers by February 25 under the ‘Aama Yojana’ scheme.
CM said, “Under the Aama Yojana, we have now added more 32,000 beneficiaries so that at least 2,000 from each constituency non-working mother will get this benefits.”
He also said that every mother will receive Rs 4,400 annually for LPG refilling.
CM also highlighted with key initiatives such as ‘Sikkim Garib Awas Yojana,’ ‘Sikkim Urban Garib Awas Yojana,’ and the Chief Minister’s Medical Assistance Scheme. Tamang also commended efforts to empower the youth economically through schemes like ‘One Family One Entrepreneurship.’
Tamang announced the ambitious Creatorpreneurship Scheme, aiming to provide financial aid ranging from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh to 75,000 youths engaged in creating content on social media platforms such as videos, reels, and blogs. The amount will be determined by the individual’s social media following.
Tamang revealed plans to construct 300 houses under the Sikkim Garib Awas Yojna, addressing the housing needs of the less fortunate.
Additionally, drivers with Sikkim certification will be entitled to insurance of up to Rs 10 lakh.
