SDF leader Dr Bina Basnett has been constantly opposing the construction of a 14-storey Mall at West Point in capital Gangtok, citing potential adverse affects on the ecology. Amid this, a West Point Sikkim Saarathi Marathon Run is being organised in Gangtok on February 18 wherein prominent fitness enthusiast and model Milind Soman and his wife Ankita Konwar are slated to take part. Dr Bina Basnett in an interview with NorthEast Live, firmly opposed the marathon run.
