Tension Prevails in Manipur as heavy cross firing was reported along the peripheral areas of Imphal East and Kangpokpi District today.
Heavy exchange of firing was reported at Satang and Govajang Village, near Khamenlok area in adjoining area of Kangpokpi and Imphal East districts.
The incident which took place around 5:30 AM in the morning continued for nearly two hours as per sources. Sounds of the gunfight reportedly between arm gunmen from both hill and Valley could be heard till 7AM.
According to sources a gunman was killed while 3 others were injured in the incident. The gunmen who sustained bullet injuries were brought to the RIMS and Shija Hospitals in Imphal.
