Sikkim CM inaugurates Model Police Station to boost police infrastructure

Built at a cost of Rs 2.38 crore, the model police station has child and women friendly rooms
In a bid to improve and upgrade police infrastructure in the state, Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang today inaugurated the model police station at Naya Bazar under Soreng District.
The model police station has been built at a cost of Rs 2.38 crore. It comprises of child and women friendly rooms, wireless network rooms, rooms for Station House Officer and 2nd Station House Officer and other basic amenities.
It may be mentioned here that the new model police station aims to strengthen police infrastructures, boosting the capabilities of police personnel and enable friendly spaces for people seeking help.
Sikkim Ministers LN Sharma and MN Sherpa, Zoom Salghari MLA Sunita Gazmer, DGP AK Singh, ADGP Vineet Vinayak, and other senior officials were present at the inauguration.
