In a successive raid, police have busted an adulterated contraband spice factory at AD Nagar area of Agartala.
The raid was conducted by the Staff of the Food Department led by ADM in charge Bijoy Sinha and the officials of AD Nagar Police Station.
A large quantity of duplicate spices as well as raw materials empty packets of different types and brands of spices was found in the factory.
The samples are being sent to the laboratory for testing. However, no one has been arrested so far as the occupants managed to flee before arrival of the police.
In a similar raid conducted at Babul Chowmuhani area in Agartala by the Sub Divisional Police Officer and staff of Amtali Police Station around 502 bottles of foreign liquor were seized.
According to reports, the shop belongs to Indrajit Deb, Ramkrishna Shil and Dipayan Deb. The trio has been taken into custody and a case is filed against them.
