Former Deputy Chief Minister and former Congress leader Rowell Lyngdoh said that the battle for Ranikor bypolls has turned interesting with the entry of PDF Chief PN Syiem while exuding confidence that it’s NPP all the way.

Talking to Northeast Live, Lyngdoh said that the by-elections will be an interesting one since both UDP and NPP have strong candidates and the contest has heated up more with the entry of PDF.

While stating that he was happy to be a part of the NPP currently, Lyngdoh said that him leaving the Congress party was due to politics within the party and some people who wanted him ousted.

Meanwhile, UDP legislator and cabinet minister Metbah Lyngdoh feels that the bypolls to Ranikor seat will definitely be theirs. He said that ground reports and the overall mood is all in favour of the UDP candidate Pius Marwein.
