With election campaigning heating up in Manipur, candidates are leaving no stone unturned in reaching out to voters. The Jiribam constituency candidate, Ashab Uddin, who won the last state polls as an independent candidate, recently joined the JD(U).

Ashab Uddin yesterday attended a meeting in Jiribam which was attended by a large number of people. Ashab Uddain, confident that his joining the JDU would not have a negative impact on voters, stated that it would actually help him achieve a thumping victory this time as well.

Ashab Uddin talked about the various issues that he is bringing before the voters as part of his election campaign. For him, development is the core focus of his election agenda, and repairing the dilapidated roads in the area is of utmost importance. Ashab Uddin further said that the JD(U) is going strong this time in Manipur and the BJP candidate in Jiribam this time is not a factor for him at all.
