After Congress, AIUDF is huddling up in preparation for the polls for the upper house of parliament. At a core committee meeting held yesterday at the house of MLA Sirajuddin Ajmal, it was decided that the AIUDF would give away their Rajya Sabha seat to the Congress under any circumstances.

This was announced by AIUDF leader Aminul Islam, who said that the party would be holding discussions with Congress and other opposition parties in this regard. Meanwhile, the AIUDF has formed a five-member committee to handle the prospects for the Rajya Sabha elections.

Aminul Islam has been appointed as the convenor of the committee. This committee will be holding talks with the Congress and the other opposition parties to drum up support for the Rajya Sabha elections.
