As per the weather bulletin from Guwahati’s Regional Meteorological Centre, light to moderate rainfall and thunderstorms accompanied by lightning have been largely forecasted for Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, and Tripura for the next 72 hours.

Light rainfall accompanied by thundershowers has been forecast for isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, and Tripura within the next 24 hours.

In Arunachal Pradesh, light to moderate snowfall at higher reaches is very likely to occur during the next 2 days in isolated places, accompanied by light to moderate rainfall and thunderstorms in most places. Thunderstorms and lightning are forecasted in the next 48 hours in Assam, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, and Tripura.

Shallow to moderate fog in the night and morning hours in isolated pockets are very likely over East and Northeast India within the next 24 hours.

In the rest of India, in what has been attributed to an active Western Disturbance, an induced cyclonic circulation is likely to form over southwest Rajasthan and its surroundings during the next 24 hours.

The IMD also reported that another western disturbance is likely to affect the Western Himalayan Region on February 6th.

The rainfall activity has been observed to decrease over Northwest India while it will increase over East and Northeast India.

Scattered to fairly widespread light and moderate rainfall with isolated hailstorms is likely over Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Sikkim on February 4th.

Meanwhile, scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall is very likely to continue over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh on the 3rd and 4th of February.
