After the grand welcome in Tuting, Miram Taron along with family members and locals headed to his native village Jido where a feast was organised on the occasion of his return.

Yet again, it was an emotional homecoming for the 17-year-old youth who had to spend over 7 days in Chinese custody.

Speaking to Northeast Live he spoke about his experience in Chinese captivity he said that he was given proper food and clothing during his stay on the Chinese side.

Miram was held by the Chinese PLA on January 18. Later he was handed over to the Indian Army on January 18 after January 26 Hotline exchange.
