Of these, the highest number of 472 cases has been detected in the Kamrup (Metropolitan) district.

The positivity rate has increased to 3.73% as compared to the 3.32% positivity rate recorded yesterday.
Meanwhile, two Covid related deaths have been reported in the state. On the other hand, Assam’s recovery rate stands at 98.07 percent.

Meanwhile, Mizoram has witnessed a massive spike in Covid cases. 903 new Covid cases have been reported in the last 24 hours. The active cases in the state have climbed up to 4367.
The state government has released a new set of SOPs and the new guidelines have come into force from yesterday, which will remain in force till 31st January.
