In yet another fillip to interstate communication, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today inaugurated the state-of-the-art Vistadom rail service for the Guwahati-Naharlagun route.

Chief Minister Sarma flagged off the rail service from the Guwahati Railway Station which was also attended virtually by his Arunachal counterpart Chief Minister Pema Khandu.

CM Sarma said that the inauguration of the railway service is another positive step towards connectivity.

Speaking to the media on the occasion, he termed the inauguration of the railway service is another positive step towards connectivity.

He added that the service will play an important role in the tourism sector as there are several undiscovered sites that can be spectated only when travelling on the Vistadome train, more so in the Guwahati-Naharlagun route.

Chief Minister Sarma also expressed his gratitude towards Union Minister of State for Railways Darshana Vikram Jardosh for spearheading the induction of the Vistadome trains in the region.
