The Voice of People of Mawlai took to the streets again today demanding justice for Former HNLC leader Cheristerfield Thangkiew.
The umbrella group of 11 organizations staged a protest outside the main gate of the Meghalaya Secretariat shouting slogans.Talking to the media FKJGP Mawlai Circle president, Khrawkupar Nongsiej said that they would now seek support of the local heads as well as the central bodies of the different pressure groups of the state in their demand for the removal of the top police officers who were involved in the alleged fake encounter of the former General Secretary of HNLC.
Furthermore Nongsiej added that the Ka Sur ki Nong Mawlai will be holding a meeting soon to decide on the next course of agitation.
