To commemorate the 50 years of liberation of Bangladesh and India’s victory over Pakistan in 1971, a Swarnim Vijay Varsh seminar is being held in Guwahati on Tuesday with distinguished speakers from India ad Bangladesh taking part in the event.

The seminar is being organised under the theme, “Bangladesh and Northeast India: Into the rising Sun.

Minister of State for Defence Ajay Bhatt and and General Officer Commanding in chief Eastern Command Manoj Pandey are also attending the seminar organised under the aegis of Eastern Command and Gajraj Corps.

Meanwhile, Northeast Live Editor-in-Chief Wasbir Hussain addressed a session on Socio-Economic symbiosis.

The session was attended by Dr Sreeradha Dutta, Ambassador Gautam Mukopadhyay and Ambassador Shamsher Chowdhury.
