The final go ahead for the opposition-less government in Nagaland was given after a crucial all party meet. It was also decided that the new alliance will be called the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
The nomenclature was approved at a meeting of all MLAs including Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio at the state Banquet Hall in Kohima today.
The all-party meet also resolved to reiterate the joint resolution among the three parties signed on August 11th and 13th for an all-party government in the interest of the Naga Political issue.
The development comes after Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio along with BJP leaders returned from Delhi after the go ahead by the BJP high command on the issue.
Meanwhile, there is still no confirmation on a possible cabinet expansion or reshuffle after the formation of the United Democratic Alliance.
