The Trinamool Congress on Wednesday staged protest in front of the Agartala Circuit House against the police for not allowing the party to hold a rally which was scheduled to be held today.
TMC general secretary Abhishek Banerjee joined the protests with other leaders including Kunal Ghosh. The party had initially planned the rally today, but had to postpone it after the police refused to give permission for the same.
However, TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh had later confirmed that the rally would be held on September 22.
The TMC had also warned of moving the court if the police permission is denied for the September 22 rally.
