The key decision has been taken by Chief Minister Sarma after his Mizoram counterpart Chief Minister Zoramthanga expressed his desire to settle the border dispute amicably.
Meanwhile, Mizoram too is likely to lift the FIR filed against Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma soon, provided it gets the approval from Chief Minister Zoramthanga.
However, cases against other police officials from Mizoram involved in the killing of Assam Police personnel on July 26 will be pursued, informed CM Sarma via Twitter.
Sarma further reiterated that Assam always wants to keep the spirit of Northeast alive and committed to maintain peace along the border.
