In a shocking incident reported from Nagaland, a 15-year-old girl from Aboi town under Mon district was allegedly sexually assaulted by a group of 6 individuals on June 20.
The incident has triggered massive outrage and large-scale protests were organised by the Konyak Nyupuh Sheko Khung under Aboi Town on Tuesday, demanding immediate arrest of the culprits.
As per reports, the girl had alleged that she was raped by 4 persons out of the 6 present in the spot.
The police later claimed that all six accused are juveniles, and their interrogation is still underway.
Sources have claimed that the victim was called by one of the accused who is known to her. The minor victim was then taken to a paddy field where she was blindfolded and sexually assaulted.
Two passer-by’s later found the victim lying naked on the road, after which her parents reported the matter to the local students body.
When contacted, Mon additional SP Longpoksang Lemtur confirmed that all six accused are juveniles, but refused to share any other details.
