Two arrested for raping minor girl in Tripura

Tripura police on Tuesday night arrested two youths of Panisagar in North Tripura on charges of gang raping a minor girl last week. However, another prime accused of the crime is still on the run.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Sanjoy Nath and Shubhrajit Sen.

Meanwhile, police are continuing the search to nab the main accused in the crime identified as Rajesh Rudrapal.

As per reports, the three accused and the victim were known to each other. Rajesh and Shubhrajit had forcefully picked up the victim in a car on her way back home and raped her in a nearby jungle.

The victim had fallen ill seriously the next day and narrated the incident to her parents. Following which the family filed an FIR and shifted the victim to a hospital.
