Doctors of the state-owned JNIMS hospital in Manipur submitted their resignation papers today over inaction by the government regarding their demand for implementation of the 7th Revision of Pay.
Nearly 250 doctors, under the banner of JNIMS Teachers’ Association participated in the mass resignation today.
The doctors have been staging peaceful demonstrations for several weeks demanding implementation of the 7th ROP. As per reports, representatives of the association also met CM N Biren Singh over the issue, however talks remained inconclusive.
Meanwhile, the Association for all Non-Teaching Staff and Trained Nurses Association, JNIMS has also threatened to follow suit and submit their resignation papers if the demand for implementation of 7th ROP is not addressed at the earliest.
